国际学生入学条件
Have a bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited in the United States, or its equivalent from a school in another country. (Must complete degree before onset of classes in the Fall semester in year of acceptance.)
Prospective students are expected to come to campus (Pocatello or Meridian) for an interview. Selected applicants will be interviewed by the Department of Counseling Admissions Committee as part of the admissions procedure. Ultimately, one's GPA and test scores qualify one to take part in the interview process.
Submit three (3) letters of recommendation from individuals who have knowledge of the applicant's academic capabilities, work performance, professional potential, and character.
Apply to Graduate School and Department of Counseling by on-line application by specified application date.
GPA Standardized Test- (last 60 credits)
3.0 to 4.0 40th Percentile on at least one area of the GRE or 40th Percentile on the MAT
2.5 to 2.999- Combined Verbal and Quantitative (V + Q) score of 300 on GRE or 45th Percentile on the MAT
Below 2.499- No Admission
TOEFL requirements for Classified admission are: (1) Internet-based test (iBT): a total score of 80 with a score of at least 20 on each Section of the iBT (graduate assistants who teach courses must score 23 or above on the Speaking Section), or (2) Paper-based test: a total score of 550 with a score of at least 55 on Section l (Listening Comprehension) on the Paper-based test.
Satisfactory IELTS performance for Classified admission includes scoring 6.5 or higher on the total band score.

The master's degree major in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program specialty is designed to prepare counselors to provide individual, group, family, and marriage counseling in various settings. This major emphasizes wellness, development, and advocacy related to clients and the community. Some of the settings where students have served practicum and internships are: mental health centers, state hospitals and training schools, rehabilitation counseling offices, juvenile homes and youth ranches, private practices, and alcohol and substance abuse centers. History and development of clinical mental health counseling. Theories and models related to clinical mental health counseling. Principles, models, and documentation formats of biopsychosocial case conceptualization and treatment planning. Neurobiological and medical foundation and etiology of addiction and co-occurring disorders. Psychological tests and assessments specific to clinical mental health counseling. Roles and settings of clinical mental health counselors. Etiology, nomenclature, treatment, referral, and prevention of mental and emotional disorders. Mental health service delivery modalities within the continuum of care, such as inpatient, outpatient, partial treatment and aftercare, and the mental health counseling services networks.
