Freshman applicants must submit official secondary school mark sheets and diploma. Mailed documents must be originals or copies certified by the school principal or controller of examinations and sealed in a school envelope. Documents not in English must be translated by a certified translator. Official transcripts are also accepted by email if sent directly from the school principal or registrar. Students who do not meet minimum English proficiency requirements may apply for conditional admission, during which time they will need to be enrolled in an intensive English program, such as ISU’s IEI program, in preparation for full-time academic study at ISU. Have graduated from a high school or secondary school with satisfactory grades, received a diploma or certificate of graduation, and be eligible for admission to a major university in the country from which they graduated. A grade of “C-” or better must be attained in all required BT program specific courses. If a “C-” or better is not achieved in a required BT class, the student may repeat the class only one time. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required for graduation

The Master of Arts in Mathematics for Secondary Teachers (MAMST) is designed for people with a bachelor’s degree who hold a secondary school teaching certificate for the teaching of mathematics and have at least three years of full-time teaching experience. The objective of the program is to enhance the mathematical training of secondary teachers and to equip such teachers with a broad and modern background in mathematics. Possession of a bachelor’s degree and a secondary teaching certificate in Mathematics.Completion of a program of study approved by the Graduate Committee of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Dean of the Graduate School.Completion of a minimum of 30 credits beyond the bachelor’s degree in courses numbered 5500 or above.Approval of semester papers as required by the Graduate Committee of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.Satisfactory performance on comprehensive written and oral examinations on the student’s program of study.
