If you are in your final year of high school or college/university, please include a letter from your institution indicating program completion date.B (International B (International Baccalaureate) diploma with passes in six subjects at a standard or higher-level including required program subjects:
Three passes at the Standard Level and three passes at the Higher Level, or
Two passses at The Standard Level and four passes at the Higher Level.
Diploma points are also considered
Minimum scores of 24 will be considered, but scores of 28 or higher are recommended.

IELTS - Overall 6.5 and No band below 6.0

Humber's Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting degree program will help you develop skills in the applied aspects of the accounting profession. You will gain a fundamental understanding of a variety of business disciplines along with their functions and relationships.<br>Areas of study include marketing, law, economics, operations management, ethics, human resources management, organizational behaviour, financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, taxation, audit, strategic management, and statistics and quantitative analysis.<br>The program emphasizes critical thinking, analytical skills, communications and leadership.<br>You will have the opportunity to train in Humber's state-of-the-art Accounting Centre where you'll learn about best practices in accounting and use standard industry software.<br><br>Upon successful completion of the program, a graduate will:<br>Explain key theories and concepts in financial and managerial accounting, finance, taxation, audit and ethics.<br>Compare and contrast key trends impacting Canadian and international accounting industry.<br>Employ quantitative and qualitative research methods, accounting and tax software, and accounting frameworks to support accounting and management decisions.<br>Interpret and prepare financial statements and assess the overall financial performance of an organization.<br>Analyze an organization's costs, control systems and financial and non-financial data to support strategic and operational management decisions.<br>Assess an organization's internal control systems, accounting policies and procedures, financial records' accuracy and compliance utilizing auditing principles and standards.<br>Calculate and report personal and corporate tax in accordance with Canadian Tax Law.<br>Make professional accounting recommendations including possible alternatives supported by appropriate disclosures informed by principles of transparency, ethics and professional standards (General Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards).<br>Communicate concisely and effectively in oral, written, digital and visual forms, appropriate to external and internal stakeholders.<br>Use persuasive language and active listening to communicate effectively with individuals, team members and /or businesses with diverse skills, expectations and behaviors.<br>Reflect critically on personal competence and confidence to identify gaps in professional knowledge and to plan for continuous learning.<br>Interpret opportunities, constraints and challenges in accounting industry in the context of a changing environment.<br>Integrate personal responsibility, global mindset, different contextual frameworks and professional accounting standards in collective decision-making.
