Official transcripts listing courses, examinations, grades, and marks from your high school or college/university. Photocopies may be temporarily accepted if they are certified by an official at the American Embassy or a known world organization.
Secondary School/University Transcripts
We require a 2.0 minimum GPA for all incoming freshmen and transfer students.
New international undergraduate students (*except those who have scores of 410 on the SAT verbal or 19 on the ACT English) must take the residual ACT prior to registration for classes to assess their English skills for placement purposes. An additional placement exam may also be offered (depending on the ACT score) to ensure proper advisement into appropriate English courses.
For other international students, the English language requirement of SAU will be met when the applicant has submitted proof of ONE of the following:
A score of 500 or higher on the written TOEFL
A score of 173 or higher on the computerized TOEFL
A score of 61 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL
A score of Band 5.5 (overall) on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
A score of 43 or higher on PTE (Pearson Test of English)
A score of 90 or higher on Duolingo
Completion of Level 109 at an ELS Language Center or its equivalent
Completion of EF Level 4
*A score of 410 on the SAT Verbal or *a score of 19 on the ACT English

Marketing is one of the fastest-growing fields in business. Businesses of various sizes employ marketing specialists to handle advertising and public relations. Advertising, public relations, sales, marketing research, retailing, and product development are all areas of marketing. Marketing managers work with business executives, sales directors, art directors, and financial managers to promote interest in a business and its products.<br><br>SAU's Marketing Media track gives students a broad knowledge of marketing but also gives them the opportunity to develop skills in areas like graphic design, website development, and social media. These skills would be especially useful to students who are interested in working at advertising agencies as well as those interested in handling all of the marketing responsibilities at smaller firms.<br>In the first two years, students take a broad range of classes both in the Rankin College of Business and across campus. Upper-level courses focus on developing expertise in the marketing field.<br><br>Students in the Marketing Media track take Integrated Marketing Communications, Graphic Software Applications, Website Development for Business and Commerce, and Social Media for Business as well as the Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, and Marketing Management courses required of all Marketing majors.<br>Elective options include Free Enterprise Studies and Projects, art, information systems, mass communication, marketing, and mass media courses.<br>Students are encouraged to obtain internships related to their career plans.<br>Students are assigned to advisors who are members of the RCB marketing faculty to help with class scheduling, professional mentoring, and career placement.
