传统的BSN（入门级新生）计划适用于未曾接受过护理教育且想获得注册护士（RN）执照并获得护理科学学士学位的直接入门新生。该学位在四年制或五年制课程中全日制完成。
The Traditional BSN is for direct-entry freshmen with no previous nursing education who are interested in earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and becoming eligible for a California Registered Nurse (RN) license. The degree is completed full-time throughout the course of either a four year pathway or a five year pathway. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for the performance of the professional nursing role and characteristics of the generally educated person. The program prepares a nursing generalist who can provide care within a framework of scientific and professional accountability, and can function independently in a variety of health care settings. The program provides students with the necessary foundation for graduate education and specialization and promotes and fosters commitment to lifelong learning for personal and professional growth.
