have earned a high school diploma, GED, or foreign secondary school equivalent.
be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or hold an approved, valid visa.
complete an application for admission and pay the application fee.
submit your final, official high school transcript or GED, as well as official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended. Those institutions can send transcripts directly to us. Please contact them and ask them to do so.
if you are under 25 years of age, have taken the SAT or ACT and have those scores sent to USC Salkehatchie. A minimum score is not required for admission to the campus, but a score must be on file before students can register for their first semester. Test scores may impact requirements for transfer to other USC campuses, as students with lower SAT/ACT scores may be required to complete 30 semester hours before changing campus.

The nursing program at USC Salkehatchie allows students seeking a medical career to obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing in their own community. USC Salkehatchie is transitioning the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) partnership program from USC Columbia to USC Beaufort. This transition requires approval from multiple accreditors, and USC Salkehatchie is working closely with USC Columbia and USC Beaufort to ensure a smooth transition for students.<br><br>In partnership with USC Beaufort (USCB), students at USC Salkehatchie have the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. While completing pre-nursing coursework, USC Salkehatchie students apply for admission to USCB's nursing program. Those accepted complete the program on USC Salkehatchie's East campus and participate in clinical rotations in and around the Salkehatchie region. The BSN program is approved by the South Carolina Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Upon successful completion of the BSN program, graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
