生物化学与生物物理专业是分子与生物医学伞专业六个研究生专业之一。我们的研究生课程提供了一个动态的环境，让学生与教职员工密切合作进行前沿研究。我们同时提供MS和Ph.D。生物化学与生物物理学学位。攻读这些学位的学生将通过与生物化学计划教员的研究项目，学习将物理生物化学和结构生物学工具应用于令人兴奋的问题。生物分子结构与动力学中心以及分子和生物医学伞的相关研究为蒙大拿大学生物化学与生物物理学的研究生研究提供了丰富的背景。
Biochemists study the chemistry of life: the complex molecules of which cells are constructed, the chemical reactions that provide the cell with energy, the proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and lipids that orchestrate cellular reproduction, that control myriad processes, that allow cells to communicate with each other. Biochemists seek to understand the chemical basis for diseases such as cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's that disrupt the ability of cells to function and cooperate. As a biochemist, you can conduct basic research, to understand how life works. You can study the genetic basis of disease, or how viruses and microorganisms cause sickness and death.
