Information Technology is a University of Montana program of study in the Department of Applied Computing & Electronics offering a cluster of degrees and credentials at Missoula College. The program awards the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Information Technology with options in Network Administration & Security and Programming & App Development, the Certificate of Applied Science (CAS) in Computer Support, and Professional Certificates in Cybersecurity & Health Information Technology. The program of study is responsible for delivery of coursework in the Computer Science/Programming (CSCI) rubric, the Information Technology Systems (ITS) rubric, and the Health Information Technology rubric (HIT) at Missoula College.<br><br>Individuals skilled in coding and programming practices continue to be highly valued in the economy. The AAS degree in IT with the option in Programming and App Development provides students a strong foundation of skills in the programming world. Students take programming courses in Java, C, Python, web development technologies, app development, and relational database design.
