The Department of Educational Leadership empowers individuals to challenge the future by preparing professionals for leadership based on research of best practices, helping individuals to see a better future, developing a future focused role for leaders, preparing leaders to invent their future and the future of others, influencing individuals to realize what could be, preparing people for an uncertain world, preparing leaders to realize a better future, and applying theory to practice.The Department of Educational Leadership offers a variety of face to face, online, and remote classes for each program. Our students access M.Ed., Ed.S., Licensure, Ed.D., and Ph.D. coursework from across Montana, throughout the United States, and around the world. We work with students to create a plan of study and provide support throughout their journey in the program and beyond. Remote access classes allow students to attend face to face classes via robotic telepresence.<br><br>The Master's Degree in Educational Leadership is designed to provide the student with a Master Degree in Education (M.Ed.) while preparing him/her for a Montana Class 3 Administrative License and a K-12 Principal Endorsement. The M.Ed. supports existing educators in the process of becoming administrators and school leaders. This degree requires a minimum of thirty-seven (37) semester credits at the graduate level. These 37 credits are comprised of 12 three credit courses and one credit for the comprehensive exam which consists of the Master's Program Documentation and Culminating Presentation. An advisor will be assigned to all successful applicants and we encourage you to contact them or the department with any questions regarding your program of study. M.Ed. students must maintain their course requirements with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
