The accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program at the FIU Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences provides the required educational preparation directed by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for a professional career as a physical therapist.<br>The comprehensive curriculum for this 9-semester program is designed in two components:<br>a didactic component of classroom and laboratory experiences involving foundational, clinical and physical therapy sciences, and<br>a clinical component involving experiences in off-campus clinical sites including hospitals, rehabilitation and outpatient centers, skilled nursing facilities and more.
