Complete your GetAcceptd submission application to the School of Music. If you pass this pre-screening process you will be invited to a live audition.
Organized auditions are held three times per year, but can be scheduled at other times throughout the year upon request. Applicants who wish to be considered for University merit-based scholarships should attend the November audition date. Theory and history placement tests will be given during organized audition days.
International graduate student applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit a score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A total score of 80 on the IBT TOEFL or 6.5 overall on the IELTS is required.

The Division of Vocal Studies at FIU is one of the fastest-growing vocal programs in the region. FIU voice students receive instruction from internationally recognized artist/teachers and enjoy performance opportunities in award-winning choral ensembles, the dynamic FIU Opera Theater, and a wide variety of specialty ensembles like the New Music Ensemble, Collegium Musicum, and the Jazz Vocal Ensemble. Many of these ensembles are also open to singers at FIU who are not music majors.
